Parliament Live Updates: As a political stalemate continues during the Winter Session of the Parliament, two Opposition MPs have given notices to discuss the violence against Muslims and Delhi law and order situation. While AAP MP Sanjay Singh mentioned the "rise of crimes and threats to representatives in Delhi", Congress' Imran Pratapgarhi voiced concern over the rising communal violence, from Sambhal to Ratlam.
On the agenda in the Lok Sabha are Railways (Amendment) Bill and Disaster Management (Amendment) Bill. Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha will see the introduction of the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill.
As the House continues to washed unrelenting protests and washed out proceedings since the session commenced on November 25. Amid the chaos, the Congress-led INDIA bloc moved a no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Chairperson Jagdeep Dhankhar Tuesday, alleging partisan functioning of the House. Shortly before the motion was tabled, Congress leader Ranjeet Ranjan told NDTV the party had the support of 70 MPs. The resolution notice was submitted to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. The Congress, Trinamool, Samajwadi Party, DMK, RJD, AAP, and Left parties are backing the resolution, said sources.
