Packers hiring ex-Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon as defensive coordinator after Jeff Hafley’s exit
NY Post
The Packers wasted no time finding their guy.
Green Bay is set to hire former Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon as its defensive coordinator after Jeff Hafley departed the organization to become head coach of the Dolphins, according to multiple reports on Sunday.
Gannon served as the Eagles’ defensive coordinator from 2021 to 2022 before taking the top job with the Cardinals in 2023. He was fired earlier this month after three losing seasons in Arizona.
Gannon went 15-36 as the Cardinals’ head coach.
Gannon also interviewed for the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator job and the Commanders’ defense job.
The Cardinals’ defense struggled under Gannon, allowing 28.7 points per game in 2025, ranking 29th in the league.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
