
Packers cave in to Aaron Rodgers demand with Randall Cobb trade

The Packers reacquired Texans wide receiver Randall Cobb on Wednesday, a move that was seemingly part of a list of concessions aimed at enticing Aaron Rodgers to play at least one more season in Green Bay. “He’s earned a place at the table,” Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said Wednesday of the future Hall of Fame quarterback, who will suit up for the Packers in 2021 following an offseason filled with reports that he wanted out.
SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.

Wednesday was another positive day at Yankees camp. For the first time since March 6, 2025 — an outing in which he knew “something wasn’t right,” which began a weeks-long saga that ended on the operating table for Tommy John surgery — Gerrit Cole was back on a mound and facing hitters in game action.
