Pacific Northwest Heatwave 'Exceptional and Dangerous', World Meteorological Organization Says

The U.N. Speaking to reporters from Geneva, a WMO spokeswoman said while records have fallen in the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington, western Canada has seen extreme heat as well.
