Over 3,700 arrested in drugs, liquor trade cases in Assam since 2020: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said over 3,700 people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in narcotic drugs and illegal liquor trade in the state since 2020. The CM gave the information in a written reply to a BJP MLA on the first day of the Budget Session of Assam Assembly.

Over 3,700 people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in narcotic drugs and illegal liquor trade in Assam since 2020, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Monday. The chief minister, who also holds the state Home Ministry portfolio, gave a written reply to BJP MLA Suman Haripriya on the first day of the Budget Session of the Assam Assembly.
