Doha, Qatar: The Land Protection Department of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) recorded a total of 1,434 violations for the second quarter of this year.
In a report released by the Ministry on Monday, the most frequently recorded violations were related to working without permits and unauthorized cleaning activities involving meadows and land. The number of violations recorded was 85 and 78, respectively.
Meanwhile, 64 violations were related to camping without licenses, and 33 violations on illegal waste dumping.
The Land Protection Department also recorded 30 violations related to camels, 15 violations for raising dust, 12 violations for soil scraping, seven violations related to entering meadows, six violations for cutting trees, and four violations related to using bird call whistles.
Figures also indicate that 1,100 requests were filed for refunds of the security deposit for winter camps.
