Oops, Says Alia Bhatt About "Archake" Spelling Mistake

Oops, Says Alia Bhatt About "Archake" Spelling Mistake

We'll give her full marks on honesty and self-awareness.

Alia Bhatt, “overwhelmed” by the messages she's been receiving since her bombshell “baby coming soon” post yesterday, had no time to spell-check an Instagram Story she posted today calling out a media report speculating that husband Ranbir Kapoor would be travelling to the UK to escort the actress home after which she would be taking a rest period. “Can we please get out of this archaic way of thinking,” Alia wrote in her post – only, she misspelled a word, writing “archake” instead. In a separate Instagram Story shared soon after, Alia Bhatt corrected herself in the most endearing manner. “Archaic* I'm lovely but I'm also terrible with my spellings,” she wrote.

We'll give her full marks on honesty and self-awareness.

Here's Alia Bhatt's correction:

She was fixing an error in a previous post she shared on a news report that claimed Ranbir would “pick her up” from the UK – Alia Bhatt is filming her Hollywood debut Heart Of Stone in London. The report also suggested that she will wrap her projects by mid-July and then take a break. Offended, Alia wrote: "Meanwhile in some people's heads, we still live in some patriarchal world...FYI. Nothing has gotten delayed. No one needs to pick anyone up. I am a woman not a parcel. I do not need to rest at all but good to know you'll have a doctor's certification as well. This 2022. Can we please get out of this archake (sic) way of thinking. Now if you would excuse me.. My shot is ready."
