Ontario reported another 780 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, as Premier Doug Ford makes an announcement at Mississauga Hospital.
Ford is speaking alongside Minister of Health Christine Elliott, shortly before the release of the provincial auditor general's annual report. That report will shed light on Ontario's personal protective equipment supply, as well as its pandemic support for businesses.
Here are some other key pandemic indicators and figures from the Ministry of Health's daily provincial update Wednesday:
Tests completed: 35,364
Provincewide test positivity rate: 3.1 per cent
Active cases: 6,750
Patients in ICU with COVID-related illnesses: 155, with 90 needing a ventilator to breathe
Deaths: Six, pushing the official toll to 10,005 (one previously reported death was removed due to a data error).
