The untimely demise of Sridevi in 2018 left the nation shocked and devastated. The legendary actress, who was in Dubai to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was 54 years old. On Sridevi's birth anniversary on August 13, her daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor shared heartwarming throwback photos with their mom.

In the adorable photo, Sridevi can be seen sharing smiles as she held Janhvi in her arms lovingly. The actress penned a sweet note along with the photo that read, "Happy birthday Mumma i miss you more and more everyday. I love u forever (sic)."
Khushi Kapoor took to her Instagram stories to share a photo with Sridevi. In the picture, Sridevi is seen giving a kiss on Khushi's cheek.
Sridevi breathed her last in Dubai in 2018. While it was initially believed that she passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest, after her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor told the media that it was cardiac arrrest which claimed her life, Sridevi's death certificate revealed her cause of death to be accidental drowning. The actress's body was brought back to Mumbai later where it was cremated.
