News 24
After the increase in Covid-19 cases in Delhi and the announcement of 'Yellow Alert' by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as per the 'Level-1' alert, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a new set of guidelines.
Officials of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said that in view of the latest guidelines issued by the government for the prevention of Covid-19 in Delhi, travel inside the metro will be allowed with some restrictions.
As per the new DMRC guidelines, travel will be allowed with only 50 per cent of the seating capacity inside metro trains. In addition, no passengers will be allowed to stand during the journey.
In view of this, access to metro stations will be controlled by limiting the number of open gates for entry into stations to ensure compliance with the guidelines.
