In response to a question in the Rajya Sabha on Monday, the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, said the situation is being monitored closely in terms of the resumption of commercial international flights, after the emergence of the new coronavirus variant, Omicron.
Replying to AAP MP Sushil Gupta’s question about reviewing the present ‘air bubble‘ or bilateral travel arrangements India has with various nations, Scindia informed the House the government had recently decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to/from India from 15 December, recognising global vaccine coverage and international health protocols.
