A dynamic line-up of public activations, fitness challenges, panel discussions, and wellness experiences drove high levels of participation across Old Doha Port
Doha, Qatar: Old Doha Port recorded strong visitor engagement in the lead-up to and on Qatar National Sports Day, driven by the MOVE Sports Festival and a full day of free public activations on February 10, 2026. Mina Park opened its spaces across multiple locations, welcoming the community to family-friendly sports and wellness experiences designed to promote active lifestyles.
Old Doha Port also welcomed several ministers and dignitaries, including HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Former Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance; HE Gen. Hamad Ali Al-Attiya, Advisor to His Highness The Amir for Defense Affairs; HE Eng. Yasser bin Abdullah Al-Jamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports and Youth; and HE Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education who toured the MOVE Sports festival and the Mina Corniche.
