Ohio GOP Senate primary remains all about Trump as candidates hope for late endorsement
CNN
Nearly all the Republicans vying for the party's Senate nomination in Ohio are embracing former President Donald Trump's message, touting their closeness to him and cozying up to the elements of the GOP that he propelled as they joust for a late endorsement.
All that's missing is Trump himself.
The former President has not given his stamp of approval to any candidate in the race to replace retiring Republican Sen. Rob Portman. An endorsement -- if one comes -- could prove decisive in a contest in which polls have shown all the leading candidates under 30% and a huge swath of undecided primary voters.

The two men killed as they floated holding onto their capsized boat in a secondary strike against a suspected drug vessel in early September did not appear to have radio or other communications devices, the top military official overseeing the strike told lawmakers on Thursday, according to two sources with direct knowledge of his congressional briefings.
