Winnipeg police are investigating after one person was hospitalized due to an incident at the Red River Exhibition.

Winnipeg police confirmed officers are currently investigating what they described as an 'occurrence' at the Red River Exhibition. Police said one person was injured and has been taken to hospital in critical condition. Police, however, did not have further details.
Garth Rogerson, CEO of the Red River Exhibition Association, told CTV News there was a major incident at around 7 p.m.
"Our paramedics did take care of somebody and they were transported to hospital," he said. "Winnipeg police responded immediately, and the person was arrested almost immediately as well."
He said the park has remained open, adding the park operates under guidance from police who told him it was not necessary to close.
Rogerson said he does not have more details as to what exactly happened. He said police are still investigating.
