NYC schools 'overwhelmed' by influx of migrant students: 'We are not prepared for this'
Fox News
NYC District 2 Community Education Council member Danyela Egorov joined "Fox & Friends" to discuss how the influx of migrant students has overwhelmed classrooms.
"Our schools are not prepared," said Egorov. "We don't have bilingual teachers. Children are being asked to translate for our children. Our schools were not prepared to receive this influx of students. And we want to make sure that everybody is being served well." Elizabeth Heckman is a digital production assistant with Fox News.
Egorov said city schools are already struggling to fully recover after the pandemic closures.
