A 63-year-old northern Ont. man accused of drug dealing has been arrested as police seize $4,500 in suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, and opioids.
A 63-year-old northern Ont. man accused of drug dealing has been arrested as police seize $4,500 in methamphetamine, cocaine, and opioids.
Ontario Provincial Police officers from the community street crime unit raided a Riverside Drive home in Kapuskasing on April 13 under the strength of a search warrant as part of a drug investigation, police said in a news release Friday.
“An amount of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, and clonazepam was seized with an estimated street value of $4,500,” OPP said in the release.
“Also seized was approximately $2,500 in Canadian currency.”
The accused resident of Kapuskasing is charged with possession of methamphetamine, cocaine and opioids for the purpose of trafficking along with a possession of property obtains by crime charge.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
None of the allegations has been proven in court.
