
Nor'easter threatens blizzard conditions and coastal flooding on East Coast. It could be a historic storm in parts of New England

The combination of howling winds -- as strong as 70 miles per hour in some areas -- along with fast-accumulating snow is a recipe for blizzard conditions, particularly in the New England states.
Whiteout conditions are expected across the region, and several governors declared states of emergency as they urged residents to stay off roads. There are also warnings of coastal flooding and the possibility of power outages due to downed utility lines.

A federal judge on Friday blocked President Donald Trump’s administration from enforcing most of his executive order on elections against the vote-by-mail states Washington and Oregon, in the latest blow to Trump’s efforts to require documentary proof of citizenship to vote and to require that all ballots be received by Election Day.
