Nokia G300 arrives as HMD's most affordable 5G phone but not in India
India Today
HMD has launched a new Nokia G300 smartphone but it will be available to customers in the US only for now.
Nokia is steadily expanding its 5G portfolio and its caretaker, HMD Global, just announced the new Nokia G300 smartphone. The Nokia G300 is the company’s cheapest 5G phone yet. It belongs to the G-series that HMD debuted earlier this year as a 4G-only series, but later repurposed it to include low-cost 5G phones with the launch of the Nokia G50. The Nokia G300 is not a major departure from the rest of the Nokia phones, but a slight downgrade in specifications makes it ultra-affordable.
HMD recently sped up its launches to take on the competition. It launched the Nokia XR20, followed by the launch of the Nokia G50. The company even launched its first tablet called the Nokia T20, so HMD is making better efforts, but whether they will be enough for customers remains to be seen. Especially in India, HMD has not launched a single 5G phone yet, but it did confirm to me that the Nokia XR20 is coming soon. Whether the Nokia G50 and Nokia G300 will arrive is anyone’s guess right now.
