Bombay High Court denied bail to 22-year-old Nikhil Bhamre who is in custody for uploading a tweet against NCP chief Sharad Pawar.
Bombay High Court on Monday refused to grant bail to a pharmacy student arrested for an 'objectionable' tweet on Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar.
Hearing the bail plea, the bench of Justices SS Shinde and Milind Jadhav said, "Whatever rights one has, they are subject to restrictions. Everyone is supposed to adhere to fundamental duties. You have a right, but you cannot endanger someone else's right to a peaceful life."

NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Jitendra Awhad had criticised the student, Nikhil Bhamare, over the alleged objectionable tweet and tagged the Mumbai police, Thane police and the Maharashtra Director General of Police (DGP) calling for action to be taken. He had said, “At what level is it all happening? Take strict action against this man.”
