No power outage in Delhi, energy demand drops to 4,160MW on Thu, says ministry

There was no power outage in Delhi on Thursday and peak energy demand further declined to 4,160 MW from 4,382 MW.

New Delhi: There was no power outage in Delhi on Thursday and peak energy demand further declined to 4,160 MW from 4,382 MW on Wednesday, the Union Power Ministry said on Friday.

The maximum power demand in the National Capital was 89 million units (MU) (4,160 MW) on 14th October which was fully met, according to the ministry.

"As per the information received from Delhi DISCOMs, there was no outage on account of power shortage, as the required amount of power was supplied to them," a fact sheet on Delhi power supply stated on Friday.
