There will be no more online classes in Delhi schools for 10th and 12th. "Now both class and exam will be held in offline mode for students of class 10 and 12," as per an order by Delhi government's education department. The students attending the classes need not required parent's permission.
Meanwhile, the classes 9 and 11 can continue in hybrid mode- both online and offline till March 31. Both of these classes will be resumed in offline mode from April 1 with other classes.
As per DDMA guidelines, schools will run only physical classes, and no online classes will be held from April 1. Though schools in the national capital were earlier reopened for all classes, but it was being conducted in hybrid mode. Meanwhile, schools for classes 9 to 12 are being conducted in physical mode.
Schools in the city were briefly reopened before being closed again on December 28 last year in view of the third wave of the coronavirus driven by its Omicron variant. While the Centre has dropped the clause that mandated parental consent for students to physically attend classes from its guidelines, the Delhi government has decided to continue with it. Schools are, however, free to decide on the number of students they want to accommodate based on their infrastructure, keeping in mind Covid protocols.
