Addressing the media, Punjab BJP chief Ashwini Sharma said the party will hold a mock assembly session to expose AAP. As per Sharma, the AAP has failed on many fronts and was trying to divert public attention.
Dusting off the horse-trading allegations levelled by the Aam Aadmi party, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday announced its strategy to counter the former's move to bring out a confidence motion in the state assembly on Tuesday.
Addressing the media, Punjab BJP chief Ashwini Sharma said the party will hold a mock assembly session to expose AAP. As per Sharma, the AAP has failed on many fronts and was trying to divert public attention by bringing out a confidence motion within a few months of forming the government.
"The AAP has forgotten the promises made to the people and is now wasting public money and time on bringing the confidence motion. People have lost confidence in this government," senior BJP leader Surjit Kumar Jyani said.
Another party leader, Dr Raj Kumar Verka, claimed that the horse-trading allegations were baseless.
"The reality is at least 300 leaders belonging to various political parties, including AAP, were keen to join the BJP" Raj Kumar Verka said.
The BJP leaders slammed Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann on the issue of alleged 'Operation Lotus' and said a false narrative was being built to oust Bhagwant Mann and to pave the way for others.
Former Punjab chief minister Captain Amrinder Singh, who recently joined the BJP, alleged that Raghav Chadha was functioning as a proxy chief minister as the AAP government had lost its sheen within a few months of misgovernance.
