No confirmation on rape of mentally-challenged minor girl as yet: Rajasthan Police

CCTV footage collected from various locations showed her walking in many areas of the city and on the bridge, but no camera found her in a distressed condition on the bridge, police said.

Fresh findings have revealed that the mentally-challenged girl, who was found in a distressed state with injuries on her private parts in Rajasthan's Alwar district, had travelled on her own, police said on Friday. Police said they are yet to ascertain how the minor girl sustained such serious injuries, while mentioning that it is yet to be confirmed whether it was an act of rape or not.

Police referred to a medical report prepared by a team of doctors in Jaipur.
