NIA raids parts of Madurai in connection with terror financing, social unrest cases

The National Intelligence Agency conducted raids at several places in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu in connection with cases related to terror financing and unrest through social media.

The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) conducted searches at several places in Tamil Nadu's Madurai on Saturday in connection with cases related to terror financing and creating unrest through social media. The NIA searched the house of one Abdullah in Tamil Street area of Theppakulam in Madurai. Abdullah was arrested and lodged in the Madurai Central Jail in April this year for allegedly creating religious conflicts through social media.
