In a speech on Thursday morning, Ardern said the government would ramp up New Zealand's Covid-19 vaccination program in preparation for a phased re-opening of the country's borders. "Our ultimate goal is to get to quarantine-free travel for all vaccinated travelers. And what you can see from today is our direction and ambition is clear. But we're simply not in a position to fully reopen just yet," she said.
