Assamad Nash allegedly followed Christina Yuna Lee to her Chinatown apartment in the early hours of Sunday morning and stabbed her more than 40 times, then hid under her bed until police found him and took him into custody, Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Dafna Yoran said at Nash's arraignment on Monday.
Nash was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, and first-degree burglary as a sexually motivated felony.
Judge Jay Weiner ordered Nash to be held without bail. His attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday evening.
