Nets can turn postseason into true Knicks horror show
NY Post
The KNICKS hired Tom Thibodeau a year too late. Had they turned to the NBA’s latest Coach of the Year before free agency started in 2019, maybe, on Thibs’ record, they would have had a better shot at signing Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Maybe they would be up 2-0 in the Eastern Conference semis, rather than searching for summer workout partners and desirable tee times. Durant delivered 32 points and six assists in Brooklyn’s 125-86 shredding of Milwaukee in Game 2 at Barclays Center, cutting Giannis Antetokounmpo down to size. Irving finished with 22 points and six assists, and made two long first-half jumpers right in the Greek Freak’s face, including a 3 to open the scoring. They did this without James Harden, who sat near the baseline dressed in white, his services not at all required.
SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.

Cade Cunningham, almost inarguably the best player in the East this season, is likely out for the remainder of the regular season. That’s the word out of Detroit following the depressing news that Cunningham punctured a lung when he took a knee to his side Tuesday from Washington’s Tre Johnson while chasing a loose ball.
