India Today
Mayor of North Delhi, Jai Prakash has written to CM Arvind Kejriwal, demanding at least 100 ambulances to transport Covid-19 patients to hospitals.
Amid an unprecedented surge in new Covid-19 cases in the national capital, North Delhi Mayor Jai Prakash wrote to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal demanding that municipal corporations be equipped with at least 100 hearses/ambulances. These, said the NDMC Mayor, will be used to transport patients to access healthcare facilities or the deceased to a cremation ground for last rites. Requesting CM Arvind Kejriwal for the timely supply of firewood, the Mayor wrote, "As you are aware that the number of deaths due to Covid-19 is on the rise and to cremate the bodies in the traditional manner a large amount of wood is required. This is to request you to direct the forest department to ensure a steady supply of firewood to these crematoriums without fail.”More Related News
