National Education policy paving way for education in regional languages: PM Modi in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the National Education policy has paved the way for education in regional languages. PM Modi also said that ancient Indian languages like Sanskrit are also being carried forward with the help of NEP.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on Thursday and inaugurated the Akshaya Patra midday meal kitchen. This is PM Modi's first visit to his constituency after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stormed to power in Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a three-day seminar on National Education Policy (NEP) in Varanasi today.
Addressing the event, PM Modi said, "The Shiksha Samagam is happening at a time when the country is celebrating Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav. The education system and the youth have the responsibility of fulfilling the dreams of Amrut Mahotsav.

The prime minister said that Kashi is called 'Moksh ki Nagri' as the only way to attain Mukti is through education.
Emphasising the aim of National Education Policy, he said, "The foundational aim behind the NEP is to bring education out from the limits of narrow thought-process and to integrate it with the modern ideas of the 21st century."
