Doha, Qatar: Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanim affirmed that Qatar National Day is a deeply rooted national occasion. It embodies loyalty to the legacy of the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, who established the foundations of the State upon authentic Islamic values and firmly rooted national principles.
In statements to QNA, the Minister added that commemorating this occasion reflects the leadership and people’s connection to the nation’s rich history and underscores their adherence to the constants and moral values that represent the essence of Qatari identity.
He explained that the National Day serves as an annual milestone to strengthen belonging and loyalty to the nation and its wise leadership, and to recall the journey of progress and development witnessed by the country, generation after generation, until it became a model of security, stability, and excellence.
The Minister said that this year’s National Day celebrations, under the slogan “With You It Rises, From You It Awaits”, reflect the State’s profound understanding that human beings are the cornerstone of development and the foundation of progress, and that genuine citizenship is a continuous contribution and a shared responsibility in the nation’s advancement.
He added the Ministry embodies these values through its strategic plan (2025-2030), which focuses on building a cohesive and interdependent society, strengthening national identity and Islamic values, and consolidating the principles of moderation and tolerance while raising religious and moral awareness.
