Nagaland will convene a special Assembly session on December 20 to discuss the Naga political issue and may pass a resolution to repeal AFSPA.
In the aftermath of the killing of 14 civilians in a firing incident in Nagaland's Mon district on December 4, the state government on Friday decided to convene a special Assembly session on December 20 to discuss the Naga political issue and is likely to pass a resolution to repeal the Armed Forces (Special Power) Act (AFSPA).
The decision to hold the special Assembly session was taken by the core committee in a meeting at Kohima chaired by chief minister Neiphiu Rio.
