Naga Chaitanya reveals why Laal Singh Chaddha didn't work out with Vijay Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi quit Laal Singh Chaddha. Naga Chaitanya has revealed why the film didn't work out with the actor.

Before Naga Chaitanya signed up for Laal Singh Chaddha, it was Vijay Sethupathi who was supposed to be an integral part of the film. After Sethupathi opted out of the Aamir Khan-starrer, Chay Akkineni joined the star cast of the film. Now, in a recent interview, Naga Chaitanya has revealed why Laal Singh Chaddha didn't work out with Vijay Sethupathi. The actor cited 'date problems' as the reason why Vijay couldn't be a part of the Advait Chandan directorial.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Naga Chaitanya said, "I was only told that there were some date problems, and that’s why the project didn’t work out with Vijay sir. But yea, that was never really a concern because, from the time I came in, the character was designed completely around the sensibilities of where I come from."

Elaborating on the same, he added, "Like it’s a Telugu boy from Andhra, and even the diction, the Hindi has a few Telugu speaking words here and there you know to make it look very organic. All these aspects made me feel very comfortable. But yea, with Vijay sir, we never really overlapped anywhere, and there was no discussion on it."

IndiaToday.in has exclusively learnt that Chay Akkineni is keen to make a career in Bollywood. The actor recently met filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. And he has apparently also met Karan Johar.

"Naga Chaitanya has apparently started prepping for his Bollywood journey. The actor is keen to explore his career in Hindi movies. Chay has had meetings with Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. His meeting with SLB was good and they apparently discussed a few projects," a source informed IndiaToday.in.
