Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Municipality (MoM) announced the launch of a fully electronic "Abandoned Vehicle Recovery" service through its official website and the "Aoun" application.
The Ministry confirmed that the service allows individuals and companies to retrieve their impounded vehicles within the specified grace period (three months from the date of impoundment) through an integrated electronic system that ensures streamlined procedures and saves time and effort for users.
The Ministry also explained that the steps to benefit from the service include accessing the Ministry's website, logging in via the National Authentication System (NAS), selecting the "Retrieval of Abandoned Vehicles" service, filling in the required information, reviewing the terms and conditions, and then paying the fees electronically.
After completing the process, the user will receive a notification enabling them to go to the impound lot to retrieve the vehicle.
MoM said that this move aimed at simplifying procedures and expediting the processing of requests without the need to visit service centers.
