Mumbai: Crime branch arrests duo involved in selling adulterated milk in branded packets

The two accused were mixing dirty water into original packets of milk from branded companies.

The Mumbai Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested two persons allegedly involved in the adulteration of milk after raiding their hideout in Versova. The two accused were mixing dirty water into original packets of milk from branded companies. The cops recovered 294 litres of adulterated milk, a stove, candles and empty packets of milk from the accused. The accused have been identified as Narsimha Kotapeli (46) and Mahesh Mandra (37). They have been charged under IPC sections 272, 273, 482, 468, 420 and 34. The duo has been handed over to the Versova Police Station for further investigation.
