Moto Razr 2022, Moto Edge X30 Pro new launch date revealed

Motorola finally has a launch date for Moto Razr 2022 and Moto Edge X30 Pro. However, contrary to the reports, the launch event was not canceled but postponed. The new launch event will now take place on August 11, Lenovo General Manager confirmed.

Chen Jin has shared a new teaser of the Moto Razr 2022 which mentions the new launch date as August 11. The teaser reveals that the phone will be launched at 2 pm on August 11. Along with the Moto Edge X30 Pro is also expected to be launched on the same day. The two smartphones are expected to go on sale immediately after the event gets over.

It is to be noted that Motorola had previously launched two foldable phones in the year 2020 as well as 2021. The Razr 2021 was an improved version of the previously launched device. However, no major changes were noted in the two foldable smartphones. But that would not be the case with the Razr 2022. You can expect some major design overhaul in the upcoming Razr 2022. The smartphone is also expected to arrive with powerful interiors as well as dual screens with multiple functionalities.

Noted tipster Mukul Sharma has posted the complete specifications of the Razr 2022 on Twitter. As per him, the Moto Razr 2022 will feature two displays. The primary display is expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, whereas the secondary display will feature a 2.65-inch OLED of 800 x 573 pixels.

The foldable smartphone is expected to draw its power from Qualcomm’s flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Sharma reveals that the Moto Razr 2022 will arrive with three RAM variants including the 8GB, 12GB as well as 18GB RAM. If his predictions turn out to be true, the Motorola phone will be the first phone to get 18GB RAM. Along with different RAM variants, Motorola is also expected to roll out different storage variants including 128GB, 256GB as well as 512GB.

The Razr 2022 is expected to house dual-cell batteries including a 600mAh battery as well as a 2660mAh battery. Sharma reports that the Razr 2022 weighs only 200 grams. In terms of camera, the foldable phone is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 32-megapixel primary camera on the front.
