The decision was taken after the Ministry of Home Affairs reviewed security situation, sources in the CRPF confirmed the development to India Today TV. Nityanand Rai is a central observer for BJP in Bengal. The order is said to have come late on Wednesday evening. Top sources said that Rai is also entitled to a bullet-resistant vehicle. Rai will be given CRPF protection only in West Bengal, while in other states he will be given state protection.
