MoPH reports 181 new Covid-19 cases

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) reported today 181 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, and recorded 337 recoveries from the virus, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 354,367.
In a statement, the MOPH said that 172 of the new confirmed cases are among community and 9 among travelers.
The MOPH reported that 6,368,334 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the vaccination program, adding that 13,147 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours. The ministry added that 1,263,133 COVID-19 booster vaccine doses have been administered to date, explaining that 88 percent of the total population are now fully vaccinated with two doses.
In a statement, MOPH noted that there is clear evidence of the protective effects of the vaccines and the majority of patients being admitted to ICU with COVID-19 are either unvaccinated or had their second dose more than 6 months ago and have not received a booster dose.
