Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat are likely to receive heavy rainfall and the former has been put on an orange alert. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the coastal regions of Karnataka for July 25 and 26.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an 'orange alert' for Madhya Pradesh and has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in 24 districts as downpour continues in large parts of the state, news agency PTI reported. In its bulletin, the weather department said that isolated extremely heavy falls are likely over West Madhya Pradesh. Ten districts of the state, including Bhopal, Chambal and Indore are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms. On the other hand, Gujarat is very likely to witness very heavy rainfall till July 27, IMD stated. According to the IMD's Ahmedabad centre, Gujarat is very likely to experience an active wet spell for the next three days, news agency PTI reported. However, a yellow alert has been issued for coastal regions of the state for July 25 and July 26. The rainfall is expected to decrease gradually, IMD said.More Related News
