Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour stated that, in light of current regional developments, and in the interest of everyone's safety and the stability of the work environment, it had recommend adopting a remote work system starting Sunday, March 1, 2026, for all employees in private sector establishments, whenever the nature of the work allows.
This recommendation excludes sectors whose nature of work requires their presence at the workplace, while emphasizing adherence to approved safety procedures and taking the necessary measures to provide the highest levels of protection for employees.
The exceptions also include retail outlets and service activities that deal directly with the public, including shops, consumer cooperatives, and restaurants, to ensure the continued provision of essential goods and services to the community without interruption.
The state affirms that the safety of everyone is its top priority and appreciates the cooperation of employers and employees, calling on everyone to demonstrate a spirit of responsibility and solidarity in these circumstances, asking God to protect our nation and perpetuate its blessings of security and stability.
