MOCI announces recall of Mercedes-Benz CLS, and E- Class, models of 2005-2007

The recall campaign comes within the framework of the Ministry’s continuous efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in co-operation with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, dealer of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, has announced the recall of Mercedes-Benz CLS, and E-Class, models of 2005-2007 due to the material of the fuel tank vent line might be subject to premature ageing and might develop cracks which cause fuel leakage. The recall campaign comes within the framework of the Ministry’s continuous efforts to protect consumers and ensure that dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs. The Ministry said that it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that they carried out the necessary repairs.
