MME, talabat partner to raise awareness of plastic pollution

During International Plastic Bag Free Day, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) partnered with talabat Qatar to raise awareness around plastic pollution and encourage customers to reduce its consumption.

talabat Mart replaced all single-use plastic bags with paper bags to mark the day on July 3. In addition, seven restaurants had their food delivered in paper bags: McDonald’s, Dunkin Donuts, Hardee’s, Exit 55, Graze Cafe, Pappa Roti, and Volume Cafe. In line with talabat’s commitment to a sustainable future, this initiative protects the environment and, specifically, marine life, which is highly affected by plastic pollution. The Ministry of Municipality and Environment highlighted talabat’s efforts to reduce plastic pollution by offering an award to talabat Qatar’s Managing Director, Francisco Miguel De Sousa.
