Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin condoled the loss of seven lives in the Tiruvannamalai landslip and announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the dead.

Despite the efforts of about 40 personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), seven lives were lost.
