Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour urges the public to report any violations of the outdoor work ban in place from 10 am to 3:30 pm during summer.
This reminder, posted across the Ministry’s social media channels, comes as part of Qatar’s effort to protect workers from dangerous heat conditions during the peak summer months.
As temperatures rise across the country, the Ministry has enforced its seasonal ban on outdoor work, effective from June 1 to September 15, 2025. During this period, any outdoor work during peak midday hours is strictly prohibited.
The regulation is designed to prevent heat-related illnesses, particularly among labourers working in construction and other outdoor sectors. The Ministry has defined outdoor workplaces as areas where workers are directly exposed to solar radiation, humidity, and high temperatures.
“Worker safety is everyone’s responsibility,” the Ministry stressed, encouraging residents to report violations by contacting the dedicated hotline at 40488248.
