Doha, Qatar: Her Excellency Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation, received today, October 30, 2025, the Shield of Humanity from HE Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of the State of Kerala in the Republic of India, in recognition of the State of Qatar’s continuous efforts in the field of humanitarian work and its ongoing support for the Republic of India and the Indian 'Kerala' community residing in the State.

This came during Her Excellency’s reception today of an Indian delegation that included the Chief Minister; HE Saji Cherian, Minister of Fisheries, Culture and Youth Affairs in the Government of Kerala; HE Dr. A. Jayathilak, Chief Secretary of the Government of Kerala; HE Vipul, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State, and a number of Indian officials.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister of Kerala expressed his deep appreciation for the humanitarian stances of the State of Qatar and its leading role in supporting the most vulnerable groups and strengthening humanitarian and development partnerships between the two friendly countries.

He stressed that honoring the Minister of State for International Cooperation expresses appreciation for the pioneering initiatives of the State of Qatar that embody the values ​​of human solidarity and international cooperation.
