Minister Ma Foi Pandiarajan faces flak after sharing NEET aspirant Anita's morphed video

The NEET exams have been opposed in the state of Tamil Nadu, right from the time it was introduced. In 2017, a state topper - Anita, a Dalit student from Ariyalur, had died by suicide after not scoring properly in NEET.
AIADMK Minister Ma Foi Pandiarajan faced severe criticism after sharing a morphed video of Anita, a medical aspirant who died by suicide as she couldn't clear NEET. Anita had approached Supreme Court arguing that NEET is based on the CBSE syllabus and caused difficulty to State Board students from Tamil Nadu as the syllabus was entirely different, thereby robbing opportunities from poor students. All parties from Tamil Nadu supported the cause while AIADMK assured that NEET would be scrapped. Unfortunately, even after repeated promises from the ruling government, NEET was implemented.More Related News
