
Migrant encounters at southern border sets new record as Biden prepares to end Title 42

Border agents encountered nearly 235,000 migrants at the southern border in April, according to a court filing, which accounts for the highest number of encounters in the history of the Department of Homeland Security.
Also in April, 117,989 migrants were released into the United States and 113,248 were removed. Of that, 98,908 were expelled via Title 42.
