MG Motor to introduce new MG Hector SUV variant in India

The new MG Hector Shine is a mid-variant brought in to counter the action of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Tata Harrier.

After the addition of a new top-end 7-seater variant to the flagship MG Gloster, MG Motor India will introduce yet another variant to its popular MG Hector SUV on August 12, 2021. The new MG Hector Shine is a mid-variant brought in to counter the action of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Tata Harrier. At present, MG retails the Hector SUV in Style, Super, Smart and Sharp trims, with the new Hector Shine to find place between Super and Smart variants. MG will introduce updated features with the new variant, while the outside will most likely remain the same as the 2021 MG Hector SUV. To be introduced with the 2.0-litre diesel engine, the new MG Hector Shine variant will come with a single pane sunroof, and 17-inch alloy wheels, among other notable updates that will be announced on the day of the launch. The MG Hector churns out 170bhp and 350Nm of peak torque from the above-mentioned powertrain, coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission.
