Some of the features demonstrated rely on MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 SoC MediaTek demonstrated support for wireless emergency alerts sent through satellite links, working together with Starlink. The chipmaker is partnering with Starlink to add satellite communication features. MediaTek says more than 4.4 million people have used Starlink Mobile during emergencies, and the Wireless Emergency Alerts system is already available in Canada, Japan, and the US. The firm also showed AI privacy glasses and long‑range zoom technology at MWC 2026 in Barcelona.
