McConnell on 'America's Newsroom': Biden's 'cut and run' from Afghanistan sent a message to Putin
Fox News
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Putin has always been a "thug" and a "killer," but he decided to invade after seeing America pull away from its "forward-leaning position" in the world.
"I think that precipitous withdrawal from Afghanistan was a message to people like Putin that America was rethinking our forward-leaning position in the world. And I don't think if we cut and run in Afghanistan, Putin would have tried this at all," said McConnell.
