Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas refused to admit to The New York Times this week that there is a "crisis" at the southern border.
Mayorkas made the claims in an interview with The New York Times after the number of illegal southern bordercrossers recently reached an all-time monthly high. Gabriel Hays is an associate editor for Fox News Digital.
Mayorkas spoke to Times reporter Lulu Garcia-Navarro, who began the interview by asking the official what he thinks about the fact that Congressional Republicans are about to impeach him for not securing the border.
